Job Description

We are looking for an energetic Quality Engineer to investigate, evaluate, and resolve inputs and processes to improve the outputs of said processes to continuously improve ourselves, and provide our customers with the highest quality product. Able to positively own and influence the Quality component of the Cost, Quality, and Schedule triad. Be able to act as an active learner and teacher, subject dependent, to be the best Quality Engineer you can be which translates into the best team we can be. Able to maintain a positive attitude in a team work environment that will be very fluid. Able to manage multiple projects, multiple deadlines, and prioritize work appropriately to meet commitments.

Required Skills and Education

Able to pull data from multiple systems to assess trends (Yield Data, Pareto of Defects data, Defects per Unit data) and use these tools to drive Continuous Improvement.

Able to lead Root Cause and Corrective Action events using Ishikawa Diagramming, Process Flow Diagrams, 5 Why Analysis, Kepner Tregoe, Hypothesis Testing.

Able to support Continuous Improvement through the DMAIC process.

Lean Manufacturing experience specifically the ability to perform process flow diagrams, 5S, waste identification and reduction through process walks

Able to investigate day to day production issues with the production team and provide constructive, data based feedback

Exhibit sound interpersonal skills to impart positive leadership to promote an active learning team

Able to use Microsoft Office to be productive in the work environment using such tools as Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Visio, etc.

Have a BS in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar.

Preferred Skills and Education

Able to generate PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP registrations as our business embraces these Quality Management System techniques.

Have experience with SQL and/or APEX to generate tools/reports from our ERP system

Are able to perform First Article Inspections for electrical and mechanical assemblies per AS9102

Able to perform or learn to perform audits in accordance with AS 9100, TS 16949, J-STD-001, IPC-610

Have experience in Quality Systems including auditing (AS 9100, TS16949)

Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ, AIAG, other accrediting body)

Certified Quality Auditor (ASQ, AIAG, other accrediting body)
