BAE Systems Lead Operations Associate - Sensor Room in Endicott, New York

Job Description

Candidate will perform electronic and mechanical assembly on electronics, inspection of paperwork, inspection of product, and work with cross-functional team members. Candidate will be expected to utilize and follow existing work instructions to complete assembly tasks. Will input and track assembly status using computer interface and operating systems.

Candidate will be expected to take on leadership responsibilities such as, but not limited to, 5S events, the value stream assessment process, training of new hires, and champion other tasks in the area.

Candidate shall hold special, advanced process certifications beyond daily tasks that may be product line specific.

Required Skills and Education

Great attention to detail is required. Ability to perform detailed inspections and work under a microscope. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions in English. Ability to proficiently use a computer for data entry, email, and Microsoft Office. Ability to facilitate team stand up meetings, provide training to other team members, and take on additional responsibilities.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting up to 50 lbs, fine manual dexterity, ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, visual acuity or correctable vision, color vision.

Required Education: High School Diploma/ GED
