Want to gain experience in a varietyof financial disciplines in only three years? BAESystems is activelyrecruiting for our Financial Leadership Development Program (FLDP).
Our mission is to cultivate professionals within the Finance and Accountingorganization who are 'action oriented', will lead effective change, and promote innovation within BAESystems.
What does it mean to be an FLDP?
Being an FLDP is more than just atitle. It means joining a group of high potential and highperformingindividuals who are sought for the purpose of becoming potential future leaderswithin the finance function of the company. The FLDP is designed to attract andretain highly motivated people who aspire to achieve their leadershippotential. An FLDP positionoffers significant responsibility, independence,visibility, achievement and pride.
What would I gain from becoming an FLDP?
Experience: TheFLDP consists of three, one-year rotations, each withincreasing responsibility. It is designed to provide a diverse set of experiencesthrough challenging rotationalassignments, financial and leadership trainingprograms, advanced education, leadershipopportunities, and mentor-ship.
Diversity: Rotations will be withinfinance and accounting functions such as: Project Finance, Financial Planningand Analysis, General Accounting, Internal Controls, Contracts,and variousCorporate Assignments.
Opportunity to Travel: The firstrotation will take place in Endicott, NY with the opportunity tothen relocate to other locations outside of Endicott, NY.
Educational Advancement: BAESystems offers tuition assistance for graduate school tuition, books andapplication fees in support of one of the major components of theprogram,obtaining a Master s Degree or MBA. Members of the program also completein-house training that focuses on accounting, program finance, and governmentcontracting at BAE Systems.
Support: A significant element ofthe Financial Leadership Development Program is the FLDP Leadership team. Eachparticipant is assigned a coordinator who will work to expose FLDPs to diverseand challenging experiences while providing direction in choosingrotations,career planning, and development.
Personal Growth: The program seeks to facilitate the growth of anindividual's leadership skills and style through the various training andnetworking opportunities. Each year participantsattend week-long leadershipdevelopment conferences (LDC). These conferences provide specialized leadershiptraining and an opportunity for the FLDPs to meet seniorBAE Systems executivesand other leadership development program participants from around the company.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Bachelor s or master s degree with a business related focus
Excellent academic record with a GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
Strong leadership qualities
Ability and willingness to relocate and work at various sites
Superior communication skills
Achievement in non-academic pursuits such as athletics, clubs and organizations, special projects, military service, and prior work experience
Capacity and motivation for hard work
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a US Department of Defense security clearance
Rotations will not start until June 2019
