BAE Systems Senior Principal RF Engineer in Dallas, Texas

As a Senior Principal RF Engineer you would be a member of the RF design and development group responsible for the design and development of receiver products in the HF to Ku Band frequency range, RF distribution products in the HF to Ku Band frequency range, and reference distribution products in the 10 to 200 MHz frequency range.
Responsibilities would include the following:
Must be a technical contributor to the design of the aforementioned RF products. Investigate and promote the use of new technologies.
Responsible for test and evaluation of RF circuits and systems.
Responsible for the development of test plans, acceptance test procedures (ATPs), and first article test procedures (FATPs).
Responsible for both block diagram level design and detailed circuit level design for the aforementioned RF products.
Interface with customers on requirements development, systems requirements reviews (SRR), preliminary design reviews (PDR), and critical design reviews (CDR).
Assist in developing project work breakdown structures, project schedules, and manpower loading and resource planning for multiple projects together with the Hardware Engineering Manager
Recommend capital equipment and CAE software for RF Design and Development Engineering Group.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance
8 years of technical experience in the design of RF products in the HF to Ku Band frequency range.
B.S.E.E. or M.S.E.E. degree or equivalent experience required.
Demonstrated knowledge of block diagram level design for at least one of the following: receivers, LO synthesizers, and RF distribution units.
Demonstrated knowledge of detailed circuit level design for at least one of the following: receivers, high IP amplifiers and mixers, A/D and D/A converters, LO synthesizers, and oscillators.
Demonstrated knowledge of CAE tools such as Genesys, ADS, Pspice, Momentum or equivalent.
Demonstrated knowledge of RF test equipment and measurement techniques.
Experience with Cadence or Mentor PCB layout tools a plus.
Preferred Skills and Education
Active Secret level security clearance
Master's Degree and six (6) years experience; or four (4) years and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related scientific field
Leadership experience preferred
