BAE Systems Subcontract Administrator II in Chula Vista, California

Job Description

  • Review subcontractor responses for exceptions and resolve discrepancies with the subcontractor.

  • Populate RFQ database and develop bid analysis workbooks.

  • Maintain proposal files.

  • Create and issue compliant Purchase Orders and file structure.

  • Prepare supporting documentation for subcontractor negotiations, consent actions, and price reasonableness determination.

  • Communicate with Supervisors, Program Management and Contract/Estimating Departments as necessary, during the estimating process and as required during the contract period for the exchange of information.

  • Facilitate discussions with Program Management and subcontractors to resolve issues, when required.

  • Develop trusted relationships with subcontractors.

  • Perform collateral procurement duties as assigned.

  • Work overtime as required to support deadlines.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Working knowledge of ship repair and ship nomenclature.

  • Working knowledge of SREP.

  • Working knowledge of Government Contracting as related to Purchase Orders.

  • Superior written and oral communication skills.

  • Working knowledge working with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Basic knowledge of MS Access.

  • Basic understanding of CPSR and compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Working knowledge of Cost Point.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Access.
