BAE Systems Production Planning Manager in Austin, Texas
The Production Planning Manager with be the primary interface between Manufacturing Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain. This individual will lead the process of identifying and prioritizing future work to ensure on-time completion to meet company and customer requirements. The Production Planning Manager will ensure that appropriate levels of work in process are maintained at identified operations in manufacturing to ensure that lines are running. The candidate will interface with all associated functional leaders to address concerns and drive continuous improvement opportunities. Where necessary, this individual will facilitate the creation of standard systems and processes that are required to achieve stated objectives.
The Production Planning Manager will plan, prepare and control production schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. This individual will advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems.
The ideal candidate with have previous leadership experience planning and scheduling in a circuit card manufacturing environment. Contract manufacturing experience is a plus.The candidate will also have experience driving continuous improvement initiatives, and cultivating a culture of collaboration.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Experience doing planning and master scheduling in a circuit card contract manufacturing environment.
Hands-on ERP systems experience (Oracle, SAP, other).
Ability to adjust to customer requirements with little notice.
Possess strong understanding of procurement, planning, and engineering development processes.
Ability to create presentation materials and give presentations to leadership teams.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Capable of building relationships and communicating effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to train and mentor team members.
Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
