BAE Systems Talent Development Specialist (HR Analyst) in Arlington, Virginia
As part of the Talent Solutions Center of Expertise (COE), the Talent Management Specialist is a key team member supporting company-wide efforts in performance management, high potential identification, succession planning, leadership assessments, talent development, and employee surveys. The Talent Management Specialist implements and manages key processes, programs and metrics that help evaluate impact and promote strategic talent and organizational goals. As a COE member working across business units, the Talent Management Specialist must possess strong project management, business acumen, customer service, flexibility, change management and communication skills to develop collaborative relationships with, and deliver results for, colleagues, key HR Partners, suppliers, and customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Talent Solutions teams:
Develops and implements appropriate metrics that measure the effectiveness of talent and organizational development programs
Creates and generates key reports that support talent and organizational development decisions, manages complex datasets ensuring data integrity, provides critical analysis of metrics, develops preliminary conclusions and recommendations, and assists in the preparation of executive-level briefings.
Manages BAE Systems performance management and survey platforms and implements best practices in survey design,
Collaborates across business units and with global stakeholders to build, align and enhance talent and performance management programs
Provides key administrative support for leadership assessment centers and other talent programs.
Develops communication and learning materials in support of talent and performance management programs.
Supports BAE employees with resolving issues related to talent and performance management through our internal case management systems
Coordinates with other COE specialists to support department activities and administration
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Required Experience: 2 years with a Masters, 4 years with a Bachelors.
Experience in developing HR measures/metrics, fielding surveys, managing complex datasets, verifying data integrity, and conducting data analyses.
Excellent project management and organizational skills with superior attention to detail.
Developed critical-thinking and analytical skills, with ability to communicate/illustrate complex data in simplified digestible forms that facilitate decision-making.
Self-starter who enjoys problem solving and learning, and being involved in numerous organizational activities.
Experience supporting programs in the areas of talent management, leadership development, organization development, and/or other human resource functions.
Strong people orientation with excellent interpersonal and written and communication skills to develop strong partnerships at all levels of the organization (including executive management)
Demonstrated ability to adjust quickly and effectively to changing priorities and deadlines and provide timely responses to our customers, working with minimal supervision
Handles confidential information while demonstrating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion and sound judgment
Advanced computer application skills including advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Preferred Skills and Education
MS Access, Advanced SPSS (other analytics software experience may substitute), Alteryx, Tableau software.
