BAE Systems Quality Engineer I in Anniston, Alabama

Job Description

BAE Systems in Anniston, AL is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Anniston, AL location! The Quality Engineer develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Reviewing customer tender/contracts and purchase orders for quality requirements.

  • Evaluating non-conforming material, in conjunction with the MRB team, to determine final disposition.

  • Supporting maintenance of ISO 9001 Certification status.

  • Supporting supplier quality improvement initiatives.

  • Interacting with customers and division employees in solving quality issues.

  • Serves as liaison to government source inspector, to include problem solving.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Typically a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience as a quality engineer; OR equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Excellent analytical skills, working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC)

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with an in-depth understanding of ISO Standards.

Preferred Skills and Education

Four year technical degree in an engineering related discipline.

  • Lean Six Sigma Certified
