BAE Systems Quality Engineer II in Aiken, South Carolina

Job Description

The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina, is seeking a Quality Engineer II to support Combat Vehicles.

In this role, the Engineer:

  • Develops and writes inspection plans.

  • Reads and interprets and applies blueprint skills.

  • Applies Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts.

  • Monitors Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts and data files.

  • Processes non-conformances for disposition.

  • Provides technical quality support to production and engineering.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

  • Computer literacy in MS Suites including Excel, Word, Powerpoint;

  • Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints;

  • Working knowledge in reading, comprehending, and applying GD&T principles and applications;

  • Ability to read and understand raw material specifications.

Preferred Skills and Education

Not required but beneficial skills and experience include:

  • ORACLE MRP system.

  • First article inspection preparation.

  • PFEMA's

  • Writing inspection plans

  • Statistical Process Control

  • Laser Scanner inspection technology
