The role of a Network Engineer for Active Directory (Senior) is to support Microsoft technologies with specific emphasis in Active Directory (AD) Federation Services; AD Directory Rights Management Services; AD Directory Certificate Services; and AD Directory Security and Delegation. This individual will be responsible for establishing and maintaining Active Directory trusts across multiple domains, in addition to other duties.
Designs, implements and supports multiple mission-critical, global directory services
Maintains up-to-date, expert knowledge of identity management systems and technologies
Continuously analyzes mission requirements to evolve the identity management infrastructure
Plans and directs upgrades and enhancements to the identity management infrastructure
Drives technical strategic direction of the identity management solution
Participates in critical collaboration with highly capable and demanding peers
Develops and directs tests to ensure systems meet documented mission requirements Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems
Effectively communicates complex technical information to program stakeholders
Maintains expert knowledge of identity security threats and credential theft techniques, and constantly monitors and evolves system security posture to mitigate
Provides guidance and work leadership to systems engineers and may have supervisory responsibilities
Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills And Education
8 years of experience in identity and access management technologies, including at least 5 years of experience with Microsoft-related technologies, including 5 years' experience with at least 3 of: Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services, Forefront Identity Manager, Windows Server
Working knowledge of the application of Group Policy Objects to meet DoD and/or Intel Community hardening requirements.
Practical working experience of security as it relates to identity management and privacy, including PKI and Kerberos Experience cross-connecting systems and establishing AD Trusts between and among them
Experience creating system architecture diagrams and writing comprehensive documentation
Successful candidates would typically have experience with one or more of the following technologies:
Experience with Identity and federation solutions (ADFS)
Knowledge of Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
Group Policy configuration and management
Good understanding of Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure (IaaS and Paas) services
Knowledge of Advanced Group Policy Management
Experience with Security Compliance Manager
Experience with Client Logon Troubleshooting
Experience with network captures and network troubleshooting
PowerShell V2 skills including scripting
Experience with DNS, DHCP and other related areas
Knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
