BAE Systems Functional Lead - Bill of Materials (BOM) Management in Sterling Heights, Michigan
BAE Systems is seeking a Functional Leadfor the Combat Vehicles BOM Management team. This individual provides technical and process leadership on the Bill of Materials (BOM) creation and maintenance across multiple Programs.
Integrates with Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, Design Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to coordinate BOM transactions from Engineering Product Data Manager to the Manufacturing MRP system. In addition, supports the finance team in the preparation of contract deliverables related to the decomposition of product costs by the work breakdown structure.
Performs complex data analysis, applies schedule logic and earned value principles to create drawing release plans and related status reports.
Manages direct report staff
Ensures adequate staffing for all Combat Vehicle Programs and initiatives
Bill of Material Tool and Process Architecture Oversight
Manage and support contract deliveries related to Engineering CAD Model and Drawing Status.
Attend meetings with engineering/program management for status reporting.
Support ISO, CMMI, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Quality and corporate audits.
Continuously strives to maintain and enhance the technical reputation of BAE Systems with customers and industry.
Maintains familiarity with industry practices, trends, and applications to enhance the organization's technical capabilities.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills And Education
Bachelor's Degree and8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Extensive experience with US Army product development and processes
Extensive Project Management experience
Excellent computer skills with MS Office suite to support metrics, reports and documents
Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers
