BAE Systems Lead Hardware Design Engineer - Space Systems in Merrimack, New Hampshire

BAE Systems is seeking a Lead Hardware Design Engineer to support our growing Space Systems product line.

The individual will lead engineering teams through all phases of the product life cycle from conceptual development through detail design, qualification, and production support. The engineer must be a self-starter who can work with a multi-disciplinary team to identify potential hurdles in the product development and proactively lead the engineering team to achieve program cost, schedule, and technical goals. Candidates should have experience managing schedules, generating responsible bids, assessing technical reviews and work products, implementing the hardware development process, and supporting customers.

Minimum Education And Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills And Education

  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of mechanical, electrical, and optical engineers.

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Strong technical leadership, an effective team player, and a competent individual contributor

  • Able to multitask effectively with agility

  • Able to work effectively in a "borderless" environment
