BAE Systems Supply Chain Manager in Manassas, Virginia
Manages all aspects of the supply chain operations in support of our Space Systems business, headquartered in Manassas, VA. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; MDS creation / management, project planning and execution, supplier performance (delivery, quality and affordability), material logistics and stocking. Develops and implements supply chain improvement strategies throughout the entire program or product life cycle. Serves as the critical partner with manufacturing, quality, programs, suppliers, and company functional organizations to integrate activity and drive overall performance improvement.

Bachelor's Degree and 15 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills And Education
SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING : In conjunction with program management, procurement and matrixed functional groups, assess program needs, develop the supply chain strategy, support make/buy analysis, develop program material plans, develop partnering agreements, support business development, and proposal efforts including development of program material cost estimates and budgets. Ensure supplier agreements are utilized and cost take out opportunities are realized to the maximum extent practicable to support program objectives.
PROCUREMENT : Support Program Management and Procurement by: identifying potential sources, support and implement supply chain initiatives as part of the acquisition process, identify delivery and material logistics requirements, leading cross functional schedule, and past performance evaluation teams, leading proposal evaluation, and supporting the negotiation of supplier proposals to ensure that all program objectives and schedules are met. Develop material plans in conjunction with engineering, manufacturing and relevant functional groups to support manufacturing rates.
LOGISTICS : Manage and control the flow of material to, from, and for the BAE Systems Endicott location, inclusive of receiving/inspection, stockroom, and shipping. Develop, implement and maintain strategies to achieve a quality and cost effective packaging, shipping and stockroom operation. Provide leadership to the material handling organization directly or through lower level leads. Follow and ensure compliance with all written rules and procedures.
MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION : Manage program supply chain cost, schedule, quality and performance. Provide direction to matrixed personnel that are designated to manage specific suppliers. Ensure that supply chain initiative and recommendations are implemented. Attend program staff meetings as necessary and communicate supply chain status to the program team. Ensure that supply chain risks are identified and documented in the risk register, and proactively ensure that risks are mitigated. Lead the supply chain transition from design and development into production. Ensure program execution is compliant to material plan requirements. Lead cross functional teams or suppliers in leaning out company and supplier processes, procedures, and/or manufacturing flow.
COMPLIANCE : Ensure that all supply chain activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable compliance requirements, including but not limited to: FAR/DFARs, ITAR, ISO, procurement and company policies and procedures
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
