BAE Systems Joint Venture Accounting in Fort Wayne, Indiana

  • Provide accounting and analysis support to two Joint Ventures within the Engine Systems Product Line.

  • Responsible for the day to day activities involved with the procurement of product and services from the partners and the sale of product and services to the customers (both OEM and Aftermarket). Ensure customer orders are fulfilled within required due dates and that requirements of each partner are clearly defined.

  • Ensure inventory controls are adhered to and company owned assets are stored in a segregated, secure location that can only be accessed by Joint Venture authorized support staff.

  • Responsible for Asset Management of all assets owned by the Joint Ventures. Monitor capital budget authorized by Joint Venture Board of Directors against actual expenditures. Ensure that assets are recorded in the balance sheet at no more than their recoverable amount.

  • Track the existence of all assets whether on site within one of the JV partner locations, on loan or distributed to customers as part of a pooling agreement.

  • Responsible for managing inventory on warranty returns to ensure both partners receive and process returns back to the customers.

  • Participate on or contribute to process / quality improvement teams and / or initiatives. Identify and recommend improvements to Joint Venture processes and practices to optimize efficiencies which lead to positive results in quality. Supportand implement performance driven changes in processes and procedures.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Minimum Education And Experience

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Sound interpersonal skills (organization, time management, etc...)

  • Strong demonstrated command of Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • Demonstrated ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
