BAE Systems Quality Control Engineer in Endicott, New York
We are looking for an energetic Quality Engineer whose primary focus includes, but is not limited to, product quality as it relates to Assembly, Inspection and Test and ensuring we meet customer expectations for delivering a quality product. Able to positively own and influence the Quality component of Cost, Quality, and Schedule. Be able to act as an active learner and teacher, subject dependent. Able to work well and maintain a positive attitude in a team environment. Able to manage multiple projects, multiple deadlines, and prioritize work appropriately to meet commitments.
Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Required Skills And Education
Able to pull data from multiple systems to assess trends (Yield Data, Pareto of Defects data, Defects per Unit data) and use these tools to drive Continuous Improvement.
Able to lead Root Cause and Corrective Action events using DMAIC, Kepner Tregoe, Ishikawa Diagramming, 5 Why Analysis techniques or equivalent.
Successful history with leading investigation of day to day production issues with a production team. Successful interfacing with team members with varying responsibilities working towards commons goals.
Able to generate PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP registrations as our business embraces these Quality Management System techniques.
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills to impart positive leadership to promote an active learning environment
Able to use Microsoft Office to be productive in the work environment using such tools as Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Visio, etc.
Are able to perform First Article Inspections for electrical and mechanical assemblies per AS9102
Ability to review product related documentation (Product Drawings, BOMs, Manufacturing Control Specification, Assembly Processes)
Ability to read Technical Drawings Blue Prints and Parts lists
