BAE Systems Logistics Manager in California, Maryland
The Logistics Manager will oversee the acquisition, integration planning, fabrication, inventory, issuance, and maintenance of approximately $12M of annual inventory ranging from small piece parts to major systems and platforms. Will manage life-cycle repair and maintenance from order-to-delivery through reliability, maintainability, and availability evaluation and planning. Evaluate bills of material (BOM) for purposes of overseeing the creation of purchase requests and logistical engineering of certified engineering modifications. Assist with budget oversight and estimations including analyzing and taking action to resolve financial variances. Knowledge of export control and Earned Value Management. Proactively negotiate with vendors to realize cost savings and expedite delivery schedules. Ensure compliance with government property oversight and accountability. Will supervise a small staff of warehouse/support personnel.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of work experience
Required Skills And Education
Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a technical discipline and 10 years of experience in defense life-cycle (acquisition) logistics
Professional logistics certification such as SOLE, DAWIA Logistics Level 3, or equivalent logistics training
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
